Not a ‘white genocide’ but a white South African farmer (Afrikaaner) genocide - which incidentally is not restricted to South Africa; exactly the same thing happened 25 years ago in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), lest we forget, the only distinction being that the victims of extreme targeted violence were white farmers, not white Afrikaaner farmers:
This assertion has been widely debunked and lacks credible evidence.
Evaluating the Genocide Claim
Trump’s allegations center on the idea that white South African farmers are being systematically targeted and killed. However, data from South African authorities contradict this narrative. In 2024, out of nearly 20,000 murders, only 44 were linked to farming communities, with just eight victims being farmers. These statistics do not support the claim of a targeted genocide against white farmers .
Furthermore, South African Police Minister Senzo Mchunu clarified that a video presented by Trump, purportedly showing over 1,000 burial sites of white farmers, actually depicted a temporary memorial from 2020 protesting violence against all farmers, not actual graves .
Given the lack of supporting evidence and the consensus among experts, including Gregory Stanton, Trump’s claims of a “white genocide” in South Africa are unfounded. The narrative appears to be rooted in misinformation and has been widely discredited by official statistics and expert analysis.
Desperately looking for the silver lining, it's always hilarious when the rainbows and unicorns egalitarian left have to face reality eventually. When a people with the average IQ of a smart gorilla prove utterly incapable of farming on any level and end up pleading for white people to come back and provide them with basic sustenance... it's sad and tragic, but there's a sick cosmic joke in there somewhere. Actually I think the saddest thing is that altruistic Europeans always come to their rescue. We really should allow nature to take its course.
Firstly, I think it's a little unfair to attribute the opinions given in the article to the publisher without qualification.
A glance down the comments that follow the article shows that they broadly oppose its opinions. Here's a typical example: "When do persistent mass attacks become genocide? These attacks are happening and the South African government are doing nothing about it. You can argue over semantics, but Trump was right to raise the issue."
I'm sure that many Jews departed Hitler's Germany before the genocide proper started there.
Both perpetrators and victims know what's going on in SA. It's a playbook that's been used since the start of human greed and corruption.
I don't think it's unfair Jim. The publisher neglects to put a qualification such as 'Opinion article' or 'This article does not necessarily reflect the views of the publisher' on the actual published article. Also, the X account, presumably managed by the editorial team at Spiked, does not qualify its X post similarly. Absent such qualifications, I assume the article headline and much of the text, barring the somewhat equivocal statements you note, reflects the majority view of the publishing editors.
Katie Hopkins has done excellent work reporting on this issue and has produced a 65-minute documentary "Plaasmoorde: The Killing Fields": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQHtY59PuuE.
There was a post on X which seems to have been taken down of a coordinated establishment attempt to deflect from Trump’s talk of SA white farmer genocide. The post showed a compilation of about a dozen MSM reporters all using the word “ambush”. Search X for “Ramaphosa ambush” to find lots of them. Just like Biden “as sharp as a tack” or Covid “pandemic of the unvaccinated”.
