Thank you Jaime. If only mainstream media journalists could be bothered to do a job like that. Regrettably, the Met Office knows that all it has to do is issue a scary press release and the MSM will obligingly cut and paste swathes of it. So much easier than actually doing the job they're paid to do.

Thanks Mark. It would be gratifying if I had only 10% of the reach of the MSM, but 636 views on this post from regular followers is not going to do it, grateful as I am to all my faithful readers. I did think X might be a good way to promote this Substack, but the algorithm penalises outside links. I think I might try Facebook.

Facebook can usefully spread the word and drive traffic. It has to be worth a try.

Well that was a waste of time! I haven't used FB for years and I closed my last account of my own volition, but when I tried to set up a new account, they suspended it immediately, before I could even use it and have refused my appeal telling me I violated their community standards! Jeez, I must be on some blacklist.

I asked the Met Office is they thought their temperature series was adequate to be applied to the real world and they said yes. Even though it fails basic signal to noise and ISO standards that are described in the 2016 Water Act.

So it’s okay to use hypothetical data for real world impact on millions of lives for climate people. But it’s not okay to use an averaging model with hypothetical data for measuring impurities in the water.

This is the level of absurdity we have. I even posted Darren Grimes stack if he could get a basic verification of Net Zero science done seeing as he is now in local government. You’d think someone would have mentioned it.

Many people vocally opposed to Net Zero are still afraid to challenge The Science upon which Net Zero is founded.

I'm still waiting for that Mediterranean climate they promised us.

It's getting hotter! They say. Good! I say. Most of the time it's fucking freezing.

This is what happens when you allow institutions like the Met Office to be run by aerosols.

Reducing the aerosol content of such institutions will make life sunnier for the rest of us.

Haha. Good one.

Well, the comment isn't entirely in jest.

I know I'm in danger of teaching granny to suck eggs here but our institutional system is set up in such a way as to encourage irresponsible behaviour of the kind you report by managements: exaggeration and obfuscation so as to (i) garner more funding from dopey governments and (ii) increase the size of their empires and hence their salary and status.

They have all been building their dung heaps for decades and someone has to sit atop them and keep them going.

If we want this to stop (and I'm sure we all do) then we have to set up our society differently and stop incentivising the will to power.

Agreed Jim. Head over to @JohnSpritzler for some excellent ideas on this area.
