If you live in the North or North East of England and previously enjoyed taking your family to Sunderland to see the airshow, then tough, you no longer can. First the council used the risible excuse of a nasty cold virus to shut it down for three years running
In 1966 my dad took my brother and me to Sunderland Airshow. We went up in a 4-seater light aircraft for a spin around the town. I was sitting beside the pilot and at one point allowed to hold the dual control and turn the plane slightly. It was a memorable day for a 10-yeat-old. Many more significant cultural artefacts than just statues are being pulled down all around us. Sunderland used to be the biggest shipbuilding town in the world.
Cherish your memories. The cultural Marxists are determined to destroy the innocent childhood memories of the current generation of children and all those to come. I really do despise these people.
