We were out last night, it's our wedding anniversary and it was a bit windy but its winter. Christmas parties in Leeds and York had been cancelled due to The StormTM which was fairly stupid, cos all their customers barrelled over to where we live 🤣😂 It made for a lively and entertaining evening......my friends in Cornwall reported it was "blowing a hooley" but they are on the coast, Lizard peninsula and gales not unknown there at this time of year. I remember the hurricane of 1987. This was a light breeze 🤣

Light breezes here yesterday and today. Glad I battened down the baubles.

Have you lashed your decorations to the porch and do you have plenty of supplies for the duration of this incoming terror???

I've got enough mince pies to last me until next week. The Christmas decorations are on their own I'm afraid.

At the gym today, the TVs (volume turned down fortunately) were blethering on non-stop about 'stay home, stay safe' because Storm Darragh is going to kill you all

Yep, same messaging as during Covid, which used to drive me mad when it was played constantly on the radio. I don't watch TV but I couldn't even stand listening to the radio in 2021. They're doing the same now with storms and hot weather.

Just the same messaging. I think convid was softening us up for the bigger gun in the toy cupboard, the 'climate emergency'

I look around every day and see things I'd never have thought I'd ever see, plus some I never even knew existed. What are we being told, and who's doing it? These have been answered, yet why? Why are we constantly on the receiving end of demonstrable nonsense? Some of which doesn't even take a data haul to refute....what absolute fanatics are in charge now(and I'm not referring to Starmer) - the real people driving this headlong rush to madness?

Much of it you can lay at the door of the media. I think journalists are probably some of the most stupid people in the country. Such a high opinion of themselves but they don't bother to think critically about what they are fed. They happily regurgitate it for the masses.

Perhaps journalists are people who are too stupid to be politicians?
