Considering that the alarmists have to know this, it is apparent their stated goals are not their true aims.

At least we know or suspect China is not in on this scam. Net zero indeed. They are eager to push this crisis to sweep the last crisis they deliver under the rug. It’s too hot... damnit man, they used to call that

Summer. Kerry is pathetic, flying in a lear jet trying to convince people we need to stop flying, while the pilots continue to be sick from the 1st crisis, but

Their illness is really due to the climate crisis.

China is not playing this game. Then why would anyone consider even if true reducing carbon, to be

Necessary go along with a futile effort. Their lies

Are becoming like the weather unpredictable, and full of holes. Net zero meaning they want us dead.

We are now biological hazards consuming too much carbon and parking spaces.

Please reference the papers that conclude that reaching a net 0 x 20 50 target would lead to as you put it ‘social and economic ruination.”

Fortunately for us all - including you - the whole farrago of crackpot anti-scientific crackpot suicide strategies is coming apart fast.

China flat doesn't believe in the AGW hoax, nor does the majority of the rest of the population.

European governments - with the possible exception of the UK - are under increasing pressure from their electorate are retreating fast from their rash promises to destroy their industry and beggar their population.

In twelve months time, the whole "Green" lunatic house of cards will have collapsed.

It doesn’t need any fancy “paper” to show that Net Zero will be a disaster, especially when undertaken unilaterally and based mainly on expensive, resource-hungry, low energy density, intermittent weather-dependent renewables like wind and solar. It just needs some common sense. After almost 30 years of futile, painful striving, the UK is still just under 80% dependent on fossil fuels for its primary energy supply, see Page 5 of the latest Dukes report: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1135950/DUKES_2022.pdf.

Some of us have been warning our politicians for the last 30 years that their so-called “climate solution” is totally impossible. A common politician response has been that we need to set an example to the rest of the world to encourage them to follow suit, which was obviously never going to happen. They can’t say that any more after this unequivocal statement from China.

I suggest you read it. Absolute Zero is economic and social ruin. It's there, in plain sight. If you're relying upon the emergence of some miracle new technology to bail you out, forget it. A reliance upon renewables will be the death of our way of life, our freedoms, the economy and probably even civilisation itself, not to mention the environment. And you can take that 'rhetoric' to the Guardian's 'fact checker' and tell them what to do with their 'fact checks'.

There’s nothing in the report you linked to that supports your comment that zero will lead to economic and social ruin. Quite the contrary, the report supports netzero and discusses ways to achieve that acknowledging the challenges that society will face.

No beef, no lamb, no shipping, no flying, no cement for construction, no steel, no plastics, vastly reduced road travelling in all-electric vehicles which will be in short supply because of constraints on the grid and lack of rare earths, a weather dependent 100% renewables electric grid which will need to supply all transportation and domestic energy use. It's pie-in-the-sky but if it were achievable it would be a dystopian nightmare of national impoverishment and loss of freedoms.

Versus the dystopian world of the likely collapse of the AMOC, the collapse of world agriculture, sea level rise forcing the evacuation of major world cities, many cities unlivable with wet bulb temperatures high enough to cause death from being outdoors and on and on and on. But I know you believe what I’ve just described is a fantasy and temperatures won’t increase everything will be like the 1960s and we can all live happily ever after. It would be nice if it had any relationship to reality but it doesn’t sadly

But your apocalyptic visions of the future are reality, because, why exactly? I think you've been watching too many Hollywood disaster movies and confusing them with real science.

I see on that report that between 2030 and 2049, all shipping is destined to decline to zero.

Oh dear! That's my online shop destined for oblivion. Still, we'll be in good company: Amazon, eBay ... I can hardly wait.
