Top man Javier. Been following him since he popped up on Judith Curry's blog. His recent book excellent for lay persons such as I.

"Solving the Climate Puzzle"

Thanks. It would be nice if just occasionally I was to get some recognition from some of those scientists who weren't - people like Ryan Maue for example, even Dessler, Schmidt and Hausfather who were all quick to dismiss radiative warming from HTHH but had nothing to say about dynamical effects.

Even just a simple nod.

More news on Hunga Tonga just out. Apparently the eruption was so gargantuan that it “literally shook the edge of space”: https://gizmodo.com/a-massive-underwater-volcano-literally-shook-the-edge-of-space-2000594092.

I remember Mt Pinatubo blew in the Philippines on Luzon in 1991. I was living in Washington DC then, in a third-floor 600 sq ft co-op apartment. It had one window air conditioner that I had to run most years from June to early September. Washington can have some disgustingly hot muggy summers. But the summer after that eruption Washington had a very cool summer and I never needed to turn that AC on at all, that entire year. I figured the blowage from Pinatubo blocked solar radiation enough to give us a break.

There seems to have been a sea change in institutional outlook, perhaps as a consequence of the Trump presidency and its ongoing shift back to integrity and rigour.

I certainly hope this paper is just an early example of the rebuttal of the pseudo science of the last few decades and the revitalisation of observation and careful interpretation over modelling in science.

It does look hopeful.

I have been suggesting for some time that the last 12 months warming could be due to Hunga Tunga, but others have shot me down in flames. Thank you Jaime.

It’s all too technical for me, I’m afraid. My layman “proof” that the massive Hunga Tonga underwater eruption caused the unprecedented, still-ongoing spike in global temperatures is the simple fact that the establishment and MSM have done their utmost to suppress all reporting on Hunga Tonga, because it spoils their bogus man-made CO2 global warming narrative: https://www.drroyspencer.com/wp-content/uploads/UAH_LT_1979_thru_March_2025_v6.1_20x9-scaled.jpg.

Try searching the BBC News website for Hunga Tonga and you’ll find nothing of relevance.
