Jamie, I didn’t know where to post this so I chose a weather related article 😁 Have you possibly looked into Hurricane Helene that is about to obliterate the Big Bend area of Florida but also other parts of the state? Forecasts are stating a potential for 20 foot storm surge and 120 MPH winds. I’m of the opinion “they’ve” spun off the mother of all storms to completely devastate Florida and other red states once and for all. Thanks 😊
With the 120 MPH sustained winds and 20 foot storm surge that is catastrophic. I grew up on the Gulf Coast and 20 foot storm surge is rare with only 4 in recorded history having 20+. Hurricane Katrina had 28 foot storm surge in Mississippi in ’05 and holds record for highest surge in U.S. history. News reports indicate that at 20 feet it will not be survivable with houses and buildings being pulverized.
I was taught that with storm surge the rule goes that the size of hurricane is more important than strength. Helene is a giant at the size of Texas! The tropical storm winds extend 340 miles +/- at the last report I read but I just got a notice that it’s now a Cat 4. That may not be the “mother of all storms” but it’s definitely a monster.
It would seem that Helene was hyped somewhat. It may have attained Cat 4 status just prior to landfall but the wind damage on landfall is not consistent with such strong winds. Also, I don't think the storm surge was quite as bad as was being predicted, though correct me if I'm wrong.
I agree with some hype but the devastation was still catastrophic across the board. The 140MPH winds were real yet highest recorded storm surge I saw was 10 feet. Imagine a 10 foot wall of water, full of its collection of debris, slamming into a house or building…I’ve seen videos and it’s a terrifying sight. I will say that some over-hyping is good because it motivates people to evacuate but there are always holdouts and many of them died in this storm and many other storms as well.
That is of course a very good reason to err on the side of caution by overstating potential impacts - within reason. However, I believe the psychos in charge of forecasting and broadcasting hurricane impacts are motivated not by concern for people's safety but by a desire to catastrophise the weather in order to promote the 'climate crisis' narrative. That has been quite obvious with Helene.
"There is some suggestion that a sudden increase in solar insolation into the oceans (due to a decrease in cloud cover) drove the remarkable increase in Atlantic ocean surface temperatures which we witnessed beginning spring 2023,""
It is good to keep in mind energy residence time, and the solar energy entering the oceans has a far longer residence time then the atmosphere, thus a change can accumulate daily for however long the energy residence time lasts. Which in the oceans can be years...
Given that it was originally climate scientist Edward Lorenz. one of - perhaps THE - father of Chaos Theory who pointed out that it was impossible to model chaotic systems due to such phenomena as bifurcation points - hence liable to change "direction" and attractors - hence the capability of changing to different states when perturbed, I can't say i'm surprised that a sudden large perturbation has screwed their carefully crafted Playstation scientific models right up.
They need to revisit James Gleick's massively important work "Chaos" and grow a bit of humility.
I think of it as being like one of those egg trays with ridges between the individual depressions and peaks at the intersections, the system can rattle around in a depression until it reaches a ridge when a small perturbation can cause it to drop into another close - possibly similar - depression or climb on to one of the peaks, from which it can jump to a depression some distance away, in which case all bets are off.
Geez Jamie, all the education your contemporaries have and they can’t grapple with the fact that nature (something we can’t control) also affects our climate.
Anyone who's seen the satellite photos of the Hunga Tonga eruption could tell that it was going to be a big deal!
Climatologists are fraudsters -- not scientists. That's why they're always "shocked, amazed, or baffled" every single time a natural event causes a climate impact.
It's so transparent that these people are propagandists. How do they think weather patterns changed before the industrial age? There have been ice ages and warming periods LONG before man was producing anything, and yet, they're still "shocked and amazed."
Also, the La Nina pattern always results in less serious storms for the Atlantic. The pacific is warmer during La Nina and the Atlantic is colder. I've witnessed this -- in my lifetime. I live in Florida.
Even without the Hunga Tonga eruption, the Atlantic was going to see less storms that hit land. When they do pop up, they usually spin north, way out in the ocean nowhere near land.
I think that's why they are trying to hype up the "number of named storms." Because there's always the possibility there might be more named storms, but they're likely to have less of an impact on large population centers.
It seems the Climate Hoax is starting to unravel. I also think the "scientists" who profit(ed) most from Climate Change fraud were so adamant about climate legislation in 2023 -- because even without the Hunga Tonga eruption, La Nina was going to cause less eventful storms in the Atlantic, just as I predicted.
What amazes me is the number of times these people "cry wolf" -- and others were still falling for it. I think the younger generation is going to do better about not believing propaganda, because they're in the middle of things being exposed.
Even in the non-doctored clip Greta Thunburg admitted that world leaders aren't doing enough to treat climate issues as a "crisis."
Debunking the claims being made by the clip, USA Today said that viral video was altered to change the meaning of Thunberg's sentence.
In the original video, Thunberg while speaking about Biden said, "I would just tell him to tell the situation as it is. Because, I mean, yes, you could say – I meet with a lot of world leaders and they say, 'I can't do anything because I don't have the support from voters.' Well, how can you expect support and pressure from voters if you aren't treating the crisis like a crisis? Since the climate crisis doesn't exist, how can we expect people to want climate action?"
Let's just hope people keep seeing all the "science" fraud all around us.

If Climate Change was a "crisis" people would know by now. But every prediction has fallen through -- every single time. That's why things are shifting to "viruses are going to kill us all!"
Remember that World Economic Forum video, going on about how great the pandemic was -- because there were less people out and about? Perhaps not, because they pulled it from old Twitter quickly.
The proposed solutions for pandemics will result in the same kinds of outcomes that Climate Change legislation would have brought about. Less people moving about, traveling.
The Plandemic hoax is part and parcel of the Climate Crisis hoax. WHO and WEF fraudsters both tell us that we should expert more zoonoses plus the increased global spread of deadly diseases formerly confined to the tropics because of man-made climate change. St Greta of Aspergers was an attempt by the powers that be to scare the pants off the younger generation and galvanise them into action (including climate lawfare suits), but I think she ended up putting more people off than she did winning over hearts and minds. Then she went pro-Palestinian/Hamas and anti-Jew, revealing her true, less than saintly personality.
Yeah, someone else who believes the panic and climate change are linked! I fear, though, that these hoaxes and more importantly, the bigger problem that they are bit parts of, still progresses. I live in Japan and kids here have homework to do during summer “vacation”. My kids’s homework included assignments on SGDs. All SDGs include all the elements of all the other SDGs though in supporting roles. Climate is a part of all of them. SDGs, DEI, ESG, wokesim, LGBTQWTFO, all of it, are just different tentacles of the same massive beast.
Hunga Tonga, the gift that keeps on giving! More popcorn please. Good on Ryan Maue for publicly conceding the impact of Hunga Tonga although he sounds a bit desperate because in a later post he also blames “weird effects of pandemic shutting down industry + pollution”.
Further down he has a great post with graph showing how the warming effect of CO2 is saturated, meaning that “further CO2 warming is so tiny it is not tangible -- it's irrelevant. It is so tiny, that the media is afraid to say how tiny”: https://x.com/_ClimateCraze/status/1830402252059660517.
His comment: “At last! Somebody finally mentioned the historic Hunga Tonga eruption, which C&C readers have known about for nearly two years now. And … solar activity! The ‘global warming’ narrative is falling apart. We’re making progress”.
Ryan Maue is a 'climate influencer' apparently. I thought he was just a meteorologist and genuine all round decent scientist willing to ask questions. But jeez, everyone who's anyone nowadays is an 'influencer'! Glad I'm not an influencer!
Yes, CO2 'saturation' is indeed the debunker of the whole hoax. Physicists Wijngaarden and Happer have done the detailed calculations (reported in https://panocracy.substack.com/p/panocracy-72) and this is corroborated by Shewchuk.
But why let physics get in the way of a good scam?

I'm watching the forecasts. It's intensified to a Cat 2 and may make landfall as a Cat 3. So I'm not sure about 'the mother of all storms'.
Actually, it's just been upgraded to Cat 3!
Totally agree!

Dodgy stuff, non-linearity!

Pandemics are the next big hoax.
The proposed solutions for pandemics will result in the same kinds of outcomes that Climate Change legislation would have brought about. Less people moving about, traveling.
Most importantly less freedom.
