I’m gutted, I really am, close to tears, for the lives of those two dogs and in sympathy for that poor man who had his two faithful companions slaughtered so cruelly and violently in front of him by out of control fascist police.
An eye witness has claimed that the dogs did NOT attack the woman, they went for her small brown dog and she suffered a minor leg injury after being caught up in the leads. Yes, it is probable that the man (who is almost certainly homeless) did not have full control of his dogs at the time and he maybe was on drugs or inebriated, hence they were able to attack a small dog in the street. The dog was picked up and rescued by onlookers, apparently suffered no really serious harm and the man’s two dogs did NOT attack anybody. They were in fact known by locals to be quite friendly and approachable, by people.
This vital context, in addition to the video of the shootings, now proves beyond doubt that the police response was outrageously disproportionate and unreasonable. Will they be held accountable? Extremely unlikely. That poor man’s dogs were murdered in front of him.
Speaking last night, Zee, a 33-year-old barber, said: "I can tell you for a fact that the dog didn’t attack the woman, it attacked another dog. A little brown dog.
"Me and another woman came out when we heard what was going on and took the dog away.
"I was scared going to get it, but they didn’t attack me or the woman."
No one needed treatment in hospital after the police dealt with both incidents at around 5pm.
Zee added: "I don’t think the woman who owned the dog got attacked by the dogs, but she did get tangled in the lead and fell over.
“Their owner is homeless I believe and he didn’t do anything to help, he was too high or something to do anything."
After rescuing the dog Zee, who did not want to give his full name, went back to work at his barbers, Zee Cutz.
Despite witnessing the dog attack, he was deeply saddened by the news of the dogs’ deaths.
He said: “I heard the shots and when I found out I was so sad about it. I couldn’t sleep, I was so sad.
“I see those dogs everyday - they are always here with the owner.
“About 20 minutes before I was petting them. They never have seemed aggressive before.”
Scum. Murdering fascist scum.
A post from Animal Rising read: 'We know this is wrong. Heartbreaking footage first uploaded to social media last night shows the Met Police shooting dead two distressed dogs who were on a lead and realistically did not represent any danger to the public nor the police.
'@metpoliceuk prove themselves to be a dangerous establishment time after time, enforcing unjust laws and overextending their powers. They exert oppression and brutal force on innocent people and animals alike.
'The Police do not serve and protect us. They exist to control us, the people, and uphold dangerous systems to protect the state and the elite.
'This has always been the case - but the mask is slipping. This is injustice.'

Comments deactivated on that Daily Mail article - surprise, surprise.
It's a sad fact, but the police going round shooting and injuring innocent people provokes widespread protest, quite rightly. But when they go round shooting dead innocent dogs and tasering their owner, it provokes widespread fury. It's probably not right, but that's how it is. We are, after all, a nation of animal lovers. I think the Met have stirred up a real hornet's nest with this latest outrage.
One always knew at school those that would be a polizman...
