What he didn’t point out is that the edge of the jet stream - the speed and position of which is basically responsible for all of the North American continent’s weather woes at the moment - is also coincident with the sharp line between night and day (dawn in this case). Just stunningly beautiful.
I would have thought the edge corresponded to land vs sea boundary as the warm moist tropical water off the coast would create this cloud formation with its interaction with the cold front after night helps still strong winds over the earth.
