I'd go one further in that they appear to want a tenant farming culture for those farmers who try and stay. As in the Irish model which worked so well during the Corn Laws era when we had Black 47. Corporation or quasi-governmentally controlled land that you can be kicked off of immediately upon non-payment of rent.
The worst thing about this is people like John McTiernan, who is the tip of a larger bunch, going all revenge-porn "this is for the miners". These farms are cash poor, asset rich. Or in financial terms, have largely illiquid assets with regards to their business. They can't maintain the business if they have to sell.
All it would take is an examination of their books and business to see it was a working farm as opposed to a wealth shelter. But then computer couldn't easily say no.
And here we are, back to five-year plans and collective farming and we all know how that worked out. Well those of us who have read a bit 20th century history...
Wish I'd got a proper job and not lunched out during my 20's, at least I've manage to get to the countryside.
It is a good thing that British farmers have a voice in Jeremy Clarkson. Hopefully the general population will have an awakening like we have just seen here in America.
The UK is ruled by a Lab/Con/Lib/SNP UniParty which is treasonously implementing a globalist tyranny that no one ever voted for. They are waging war against the people in the name of Agenda 2030 (and worse). The really sad thing is that most of the general public are blissfully unaware that they are being horribly abused.
They plan to wreck our economy (Reeves has made an excellent start), our energy infrastructure (it won’t take long if Mad Miliband gets free rein), our farming infrastructure (look at how the cost of fertiliser has been deliberately trebled in the past few years), our freedom of speech (their pre-Trump election scheming to close down X), our freedom of movement (their dystopian C40 plans for cities) and our national heritage (the shipped-in hordes of fighting age men with no papers conveniently billeted together in large hotels with all expenses paid look to me suspiciously like a not-so-covert military force ready to be used against us).
We saw how the Dutch globalist puppet Rutte tried to throw thousands of farmers off the land before he was thankfully booted out of office.
Our Lab/Con/Lib/SNP UniParty politicians are taking the general public for fools. Hopefully President Trump will come to our rescue and spike the globalists’ evil plans, starting by withdrawing again from the Paris Climate Agreement and the WHO (so no more plandemics). He should go the whole hog and withdraw from the corrupt UN as well to help waken up a few more people. Hopefully the masses suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) will come to their senses and realise that Trump is going to be our saviour. Hopefully Reform UK will sweep away all the UniParty dross at the next general election.
Spot on Doug. I would only add that Trump is not going to save us; we must do that ourselves by taking the advice of Percy Bysshe Shelley:
“Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number-
Shake your chains to earth like
dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you
Ye are many-they are few.”
Trump has fired the very welcome starting pistol on the dissolution of the UN/WEF led New World Order, which is really the old world order progressed to its terrifying, logical conclusion. He - and the American people - have given us hope and inspiration. It's time for us Brits to grasp the nettle and see off the British deep state/uniparty toffs and tossers once and for all.
But what happened to the 17 million who voted for Brexit? I know some 14m went with Reform this time but that other 3m, who presumably voted Labour in July, what on earth did they think the consequences would be? Based on the assumption that the Brexiteers were deeply concerned about unlimited mass migration, how did these 3m not see there was only one way out?

Perhaps unrelated, but I would love to get your thoughts on this story: https://dailysceptic.org/2024/11/05/science-shock-u-k-met-office-is-inventing-temperature-data-from-100-non-existent-stations/

All I can say is go farmers blockade those ports.

The CO2 Coalition explains how globalists use junk science to pretend that nitrous oxide (N2O) is a dangerous greenhouse gas so that they can use it as a pretext to wage war on farming: https://co2coalition.org/2022/09/14/climate-war-on-nitrous-oxide-threatens-starvation/.
