Thanks for the update from the island of Oceania. Troubling times indeed. When it all goes "walking dead" like, maybe we can catch them in nets and bash them with bats...

I will have to work on using this line from your piece many times, in various media. "I was accused by one person of being “blatantly politically partisan” for doing so. I think on balance I was simply right." Brilliant.

Why O why O why was this piece of meteorological ,fiscal and political chicanery ever nodded through by our utterly useless 'representatives' without so much as a question or two?

Sir Flipflop Fence Sitter-( Starmer)- will revoke whichever of Sunak's mild attempts survives the ecoblob's onslaught, assuming he becomes the next PM.

I'll return to my broken record warnings: ruinous Net Zero commitments plus the de facto Open Borders fandango overseen by our leaders will result in serious unrest, if not irreversible damage to what remains of our way of life.

Warnings are being heard across Europe now, as the growing chaos there can no longer be ignored by the Brussels apparatchiks, try as they might to censor dissent and public anger.

The well heeled leaders of this utter madness would do well to reflect on the ultimate fate of the fanatics who led the French Revolution's Terror: they did not escape Mme la Guillotine in the end.

We abandoned the process of reasoned debate some time ago and we're beginning to see the consequences. Sweden, for example, virtue signalled to the rest of Europe by taking in huge numbers of immigrants in the last decade. The results have not been pretty (https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/swedish-pm-says-integration-immigrants-has-failed-fueled-gang-crime-2022-04-28/).

I'm stocking up on winter woollies and gold jewellery to pay off the men with machetes and semi-automatic weapons when they come a-calling.

The commenter known as Pretty Polly does a one-track post under articles on The Conservative Woman about the globalist billionaires who are pushing Net Zero, e.g. under this article: https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/sunak-and-the-mildest-possible-net-zero-flip-flop/.

She claims that George Soros rewarded Theresa May for passing Net Zero into legislation by paying her $125,000 for each of a long series of USA speeches.

She also says that he rewarded David Miliband for pushing through the original Climate Change Act with a $600,000 per year sinecure.

The reaction to Sunak’s Net Zero row-back by the green blob and Labour and SNP politicians must have been been very revelatory to the general public. The more these fanatics rant on incoherently about Net Zero, the more they show their utter disdain for the wellbeing and freedoms of ordinary people.

Sadly, the legal actions against Sunak’s Net Zero row-back will probably succeed and I doubt if he has the backbone or even the inclination to repeal the legislation. He will probably then make some lame excuse like “Sorry, I tried but we have to stick with the law”. In a way that may be a good thing as it will confirm that ALL the establishment politicians hold the general public in utter disdain.

Reading your linked 2019 Climate Scepticism article, I note that several of the commenters (some “blast from the past” names there!) wondered if Theresa May was somehow bribed into enacting Net Zero, most suspecting EU skulduggery. If Pretty Polly is right, Theresa May was indeed bribed, by George Soros. Net Zero superseded by Covid which failed to enslave sufficiently and now back to Net Zero plus war on farming has been a UN/Club of Rome/globalist billionaire philanthropath conspiracy all along.

Here is one of my own futile 2019 posts on Net Zero, an email to the BEIS which actually elicited a reply, albeit just the usual boilerplate nonsense, which I appended together with my own commentary: https://edmhdotme.wpcomstaging.com/the-case-against-net-zero-co2-emissions-2/.

Literally every single point bang on target, especially the reference to the childhood vaccine association with the asthma death too.
