I live in the Pacific Northwest Oregon Washington we have so far this year experienced more rainfall than normal.

Last summer was not that hot 2-3 weeks where AC was needed. Winter was not as bad as last year. Our plants so far are flourishing because of the rains. It has been unusually cool. With a couple days in the 80s teasing us then back to wet chilly weather.

As far as nasa science goes I do not put any credibility into their science. Not a fan of nasa.

Canada north of us may be experiencing hot spells but we have not.

Here in the UK, it's been a very cool spring so far. In India, they are experiencing some record cold for this time of the year, but the climate alarmists aren't interested in that. Give them a few very hot days though and they go crazy.

I was not aware that effectively infinitely large open-ended coupled non-linear - hence chaotic - systems subject to inter alia extreme sensitivity to initial conditions, bifurcation points and strange attractors were amenable to predictions based on statistical analysis...

You learn something new every day.

It would appear after all, that they are not.

Growing up in the California where summer temperatures of 107 F (41.6 C) were common, and then moving to the Pacific Northwest and experiencing a single day of 121 F (49 C) is really no big deal. Feels about the same and as a farmer, you adjust your workday around the temperature fluctuations. Just like with Covid, fear porn is constantly being used to justify political agendas.

Yes, it looks like climate alarmism is getting out of hand. Fear was a strategy that worked 'well' in the Covid era and has garnered many research grants for right-thinking academics.

You're right that they are clutching at straws. In this case "a non linear signal of climate change" seems to mean "it fits our prior biases about climate change". I seem to remember a 'hockey stick' that did much the same thing ...
