Some of the people who wrote great stuff on the totalitarian response to the fake Covid crisis for all to read and comment on have decided to limit their articles on the fake ‘climate crisis’ to paid subscribers only. But we absolutely do need an open discussion about the climate industrial complex aka Big Green aka the Green Blob, the mythical ‘climate crisis’ and the increasingly bizarre, destructive and totalitarian response of our governments to it. And we also need to talk about Big Oil and have a frank, down to earth discussion about our reliance upon fossil fuels to power our economies, because there seems to be a growing consensus, emerging from both sides of the climate change fence, that Big Oil and Big Green are essentially the same beast. RFK Jr. thinks they are but a critical commenter on Eugyppius’s blog thinks they’re not:

A: Destroy the economy by increasing the prices on energy to the point where people are required to ration it. Limit people's freedom of movement by increasing transportation costs. Force job losses through increased energy costs.

People seem to forget that totalitarians/authoritarians love to co-opt any and every issue that does actually matter and twist it to fit their agenda. The war on terror was perfect for TPTB because they no longer had to use false flags to initiate military aggression. Now the "enemy" could be anyone, anywhere. Climate change is even better. Take the problem of environmental destruction and poisoning of our land, air, and water and turn it into a ridiculous war against CO2. Now you don't even need an enemy. Anytime the weather isn't cool and calm, you can demand that people give up their sovereignty and submit to everything from CBDC's to surveillance all in the name of trying to change the weather.
I'll add this:
With regard to the oil and green industries, both are sources of wealth, both enjoy govt subsidies and lax regulation. But TPTB love power even more than unlimited wealth. And the very best thing about the fake "climate emergency" is that it provides a path for top down, authoritarian control. And control is the crown jewel of power.

An interesting sentence that reminds me of The Organon by Samuel Hahnemann. He writes that 2 dissimilar diseases cannot coexist in the same body, the stronger disease takes the fore, suspending the weaker disease. When the stronger disease has run its course, the weaker disease re-emerges and picks up where it was when the stronger disease was picked up.
With your idea, perhaps Big Green will suspende the antics of Big Oil for a time and then we will be back to square one.
As someone has commented, environmental pollution is the problem not carbon dioxide. I've been interested in regenerative farming for a long time and have seen too many shared fence lines where one property is commercially farmed, the neighbour regeneratively. The latter is drought, flood, fire proof with improved soil structure and capacity to produce more food than the former. The shared element is the sky!
Concrete is one of the biggest producers of mercury pollution and is necessary to build wind power.
I think it is becoming increasingly that the Covid "over-reaction" was to some extent a tryout to see what they could get away with.
However, I suspect - rather, I hope - that they have overplayed their hand and in fact alerted sufficient people to their intentions and methods that they will meet with far greater resistance to the Nut Zero schemes.
It's one thing to impose relatively short term house arrest, quite another to impose 15 minute cities, ban all personal transport and stop people taking foreign holidays in perpetuity.

Wow, I did not understand how screwed up RFK JR. is on carbon....for heaven's sake, can't anyone get through to him? WE are CARBON. and CARBON DIOXIDE IS AT ITS LOWEST LEVELS SINCE THE DINOSAURS ROAMED THE EARTH...Geez... I want MORE CARBON DIOXIDE...we are dangerously close to mass extinction ourselves...and if these idiots have their way, we will all be dead - them too.
They don't beleive what they preach, and no one can convince me otherwise....a child of 10 can look at the CO2 in the atmosphere since the CARBONIFEROUS era....and realize we at dancing on the edge of a knife.
I want MORE SUV's, MORE CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS....but I do understand that the oil companies got rich by not having to clean up the environmental messes they made...it was transferred to the "commons" ...which most corporations, not just oil, but all industries did...the felt makers , the leather curers, the hatters, the wool makers, all the way up to today and particularly the CHEMICAL Companies...like Monsanto...and don't get me started on FLUORIDE....
But one thing they have been very successful at doing (and it shows in RFK JR.s thinking)...people get CLIMATE CHANGE MIXED UP WITH ENVIRONMENTAL POLLTUION...which we CAN do something about..but again, they did it deliberately, so the stupid people think that turning on their gas stove will killa polar bear.....
Please write more about this climate crises and what they are gonna pull on us...and EXPOSE it please for the CONTROL GRID IT IS...and the enslavement they have in store for us stupid peopel who go along with it.
The Entire Carbon Credit industory that Al Gore tried to get in on the ground floor on...and all of them are just rubbing their hands together in glee...they will trade in carbon credits, make even more money, and continue to fly their private jets, light up their houses, and sail around on their humongous yachts while the rest of us peasants won't even be allowed to pick up wood on the ground or buy a match to keep ourselves from freezing to death....
