Milton made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane and then rapidly de-intensified to cat 1. So, it would seem like, even though Milton was in a ‘hurry’ to intensify to Cat 5 in the western Gulf (cos climate crisis super-heated water innit), it was in an equal hurry to downgrade to Cat 3 before making landfall with ‘sustained 120mph winds’. Bad enough, but not catastrophic. ‘Experts’ were predicting it would hit as Cat 4 or even 5. Flooding is very likely and the extent of the storm surge damage is not yet known, but, will the ‘climate crisis’ loons and equally deranged geoengineering/weather modification nutters now please STFU!
Because, apparently, the ‘climate crisis’ switched suddenly to more benign mode along the Florida coast in the last few hours, and/or the Feds lost control of the ‘monster storm’ they whipped up in the Gulf of Mexico and were insidiously directing via the use of HAARP technology towards the government’s political opponents in Tampa and elsewhere. Seriously y’all, take a back seat now and stfu and let the emergency services do their job (which hopefully they will do, unlike in North Carolina).
It is now very clear that ‘Disaster cronyism’ is a thing, be it from the government itself, the Green lobby or the geoengineering crowd. They all vie to get a piece of the action as soon as a hurricane, typhoon or cyclone spins up and starts heading towards land. Just stop it already, we’ve had enough.
What we do need now is for sane scientists to take a look at what’s been happening this year firstly with the unexpected dearth of hurricanes and then with the rapid succession of two quite unusual (but not unprecedented) hurricanes in the Gulf, with a view to better understanding the dynamics at play and hopefully improving seasonal and instantaneous forecasts in future. Plus we need explanations for the lack of support from the government and even the obstruction of local rescue efforts after Helene. What we don’t need is geoengineering nerds and climate change zealots telling us about the ‘science’ behind their pet hobby horse obsessions. What we don’t need is the jokers at World Weather Attribution producing yet another ‘rapid attribution analysis’ telling us how Helene was made umpteen times more likely due to climate change (more on that later maybe). End.
I get the impression that the weather people seem to be making a crisis out of every bit of weather. The Met Office issues amber and red warnings every time it forcasts rain. If we're going to get a bit of warm weather, it's another amber or red warning. It's just weather and always has been. I think they're trying to disguise the fact that it isn't getting warmer any more and their predictions of a firey doom is slipping away.
so I take it that you believe Milton was not geo-engineered? That is, it occurred naturally?
Me, I have no idea. the government's been doing weather mod stuff for decades, but it seems unlikely they could just create a hurricane and/or steer a hurricane (as the geo-eng crowd believes they did with Helene)
Do you know how the sea surface temps in the Gulf compare to previous years? Once again, Hunga Tonga could be part of the cause, no?
