Very amusing. Very Fatherland moral superiority and all that. The fact is, the German manufacturing economy is going tits up because of the obsession with renewables and the insane decision to close down zero carbon (it’s not about the climate) nuclear power stations.
There’s also another dirty fact which the German Foreign Office didn’t mention when they grandstanded their moral superiority re. not eating cats and dogs (despite the very high numbers of rapey, but otherwise culinarily exemplary, immigrants let in by Merkel). From 1969 until 2012, sex with dogs was legal in Germany. Yes, legal. You couldn’t eat your dog, but you sure as hell could rape your dog, no problem. Even when the ban on bestiality was eventually brought in, sick perverts launched a legal challenge to try to get it overturned. If you think these sickos are abiding by the law now, think again.

For context, Britain banned bestiality in 1861. The German Foreign Office cannot claim any moral high ground either on Green issues or on animal welfare issues. They should just STFU.
