Great point. But, it's till happening and having unknown and uncontrollable effects in other places. And there needs to be some discussion on banning Geo Engineering.

Good take! Although, the close temporal relationship with UAE National Weather admitting seeding Sun, Mon, Tue and then backing off that declaration cannot be ignored. While they wish they could coax that much water from the sky through their own hands, it seems a coalition of converging weather fronts that they stupidly continued their ill advised and continuous spraying operation into. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesfarrell/2024/04/17/what-is-cloud-seeding-and-did-it-cause-dubais-record-flooding/

Geo-engineering exists and experiments and ongoing work being conducted by every industrialized first world nation. I believe primarily to trap escaping radiant heat over selected temperature stations and regions. It is not the cause of every weather event, and great damage is done to the awareness of the climate scam and their awful scandalous fixes for the fake problem when alarmists publish endless clickbait for views.

I'm reading conflicting reports about the timing. There has been mixed messaging from the media and NCM. The last flight may have been Sunday or Monday (not Tuesday) but the NCM denies that any seeding took place because the storm system was forecast to deposit huge amounts of rain anyway. Also, no cloud seeding took place over Oman and the rainfall there was equally intense, so that kind of suggests that even if cloud seeding did take place in the UAE, it didn't have much of an impact on the intensity of the storm.

I am so glad to see you write this, because this is exactly what I was thinking too. It sounds far fetched, but it isn’t really given current levels of information control.

And the timing makes sense too. Currently there seems to be a degree of genuine pushback by way of recent studies, the movie etc As such, from their point of view, it must feel imperative to create a sense of “busted conspiracy theory”around the whole topic. Events in Dubai would be the perfect opportunity.

I'm really glad it's not just me thinking along these lines. The last four years should have taught us all a very hard lesson about just how cunning, conniving and malicious the media, governments and our institutions can be in attempting to achieve their objectives. We need to do better!

I’m grateful to you (and your patience!) for repeatedly being such a rational and calm voice on this topic. When so many “conspiracy theories” are turning out to be true, it is easy to start to lose one’s way on the more peripheral ones!
