Already, some sceptics are saying that the erasure of the 2023 acceleration in global warming is a good thing, because it tends to dial back the alarmism, but ultimately it's a bad thing because it reinforces the consensus manmade global warming narrative by erasing inconvenient data, thereby preventing further scientific investigations as to the (natural) causes of such events. Just as happened with the global warming Pause.

It's actually happening widely regarding weather data from removing the ww2 ocean blip to adjusting data out of existence so that actual historical documented events, such as the sea ice years in Iceland (commented on by HH Lamb for example) are eradicated. Us untermensch noticed things that clearly didn't happen...computer (programmed by a Californian deviant freak) says no!

The land and sea temperature records are adjusted as well as having uncertainties/errors about 10 or 20 times the so-called signal. Saying there is no rise or there is a rise is like saying the rabbit population in a sim game has increased without actually playing the game. They have no actual clue except “all things being equal”

Furthermore they are modelling a complex poorly characterised atmospheric system with massive uncertainties in multiple parameters and trying to say they’ve found something.

It would be funny if these people did not have an influence on the real world.

Looking forward to it. To add an entire other layer to the many possible influences on climate, consider this study.

There may be more to this then first thought Yes, the energy flow variance may be small. yet the ocean residence time is long, with up to 10 cenruies of geo thermal flow within the oceans, and the atmosphere energy is tiny compared to the energy in the oceans, only about 1/1000th.
