I popped into Asda this afternoon to collect a prescription at the Pharmacy and to do a bit of shopping. I know I shouldn’t. I should really be taking the advice of Dr Tess Lawrie and using them as little as possible. But easier said than done when you’re on a limited budget and there are many items which you just can’t get from local independent retailers without spending the entire day popping in and out of shops, some of which are not any more local than the big supermarkets and spending twice or three times as much money getting more or less the same products. In my defence, I have stopped shopping regularly at Asda, where I used to shop virtually every week. The quality of products on offer is abysmal and the prices just keep going up. Tesco is not much better.
I still remember that video of the guy running on the beach who was approached by two cops and when he wouldn't stop they chased after him but he sprinted away and left them standing. Hilarious.
I used to stop into a 24 hour grocery store just because...24 hours.
I pretty much run or work until I use it all up every day and at that golden hour my brain shuts down.... stop by the 24 hour and grab what ever looks good and done.
Then the scamdemick hit and the whole world shut down.
Every dollar spent is a vote! Make your Bud Light Target shopping meaningful. Seems to me the gender thing is the new antifa blm they are actively demoralizing us who think that kids ought to be left alone, and what you do behind bedroom doors is your own thing... keep it to yourself. You're years behind, Aldi has been the go to supermarket for years now. They keep politics at a distance mostly, and as you say, good produce and competitive prices. (And those special buys.....!)
I had the displeasure today of watching the TV news while I was at the gym... Same. Non-stop garbage about climate crisis. Enough to deter me from going to the gym! Like I need much deterrent!!

I started shopping for friends and family... bought 6 freezers and gave 3 to out of work friends..
We have whole Foods, Trader Joes, COSTCO, Aldies, and Publix, Winn Dixie etc.
Bought a 1000 pounds of beef, 200 pounds of bacon, and I think 10 or 12 pounds of frozen spinach. Split it up and shared it
Then I discovered the joys of BOGO days
Buy one get one free..
They locked down the beach, where I run, what a year that was.
And these people are still in charge...
Back to my workout, this sweat isn't going to work itself out.
