Having had a lot of experience of complaining to the BBC and OFCOM I can tell you you're wasting your time. On the bright side you are also wasting the time of someone at the BBC and/or OFCOM so there is that to take into consideration.

Jaime,

You are probably aware of the esteemed Paul Homewood at https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/

Paul has been bombarding the BBC with complaints about their climate lying for years.

Very occasionally he might get a "Huh. You may be right about that response" - but the general approach is that temperature "records" set at Heathrow on hot days are perfect exemplars of 21st century "science" at its best.

Get the behind me, BBC

(Actually, we junked our TV over 21 years ago, even then fed up with funding the Propaganda Arm of the (anything but) "Liberal elite". We spurn ALL their news media, and only every use R3, and R5 & 5Extra for Sport.

They used to bombard us with letters. Nothing I like better (drilled by my old man, an expert in this field) than winding up government agencies. When TVLA threatened to lodge a van outside our house, I told them the occupants were more than welcome to knock on the door for a pee, or tea and biscuits.

Eventually, I wrote to them, words along the line

"You clearly believe me to be lying, else you would not mail me repeatedly. Can I have that IN WRITING, and our lawyer will be in touch".

Not had any further correspondence in years. A polite way (well bred old feller, you see) of telling them to fuck right off. And they did

21 years beats me by a long chalk Jeremy. Well done to you and your dad for spearheading the Resistance. I gave up the haunted fish tank because of BBC bias about 14 years ago. Since moving to my new address, they've hassled us constantly - I've lost count of how many times they've opened up an 'official investigation' and threatened to send the SWOT team round! Really disappointed that they haven't turned up actually because I've been keeping fleas handy to send them away with one in their ear, and you have to be careful with fleas and dogs around the house, so I've given up on the fleas for now and just put aside a piece of my mind to donate to them if they ever turn up!

Well done Jaime for persevering but you’ll never get any truth out of the BBC. They are paid to lie about “climate change”.

The Copernicus graph of global temperatures in the subject article bears scant resemblance to the only trustworthy global temperature series, the Roy Spencer UAH satellite series. Compare this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd7575x8yq5o with this https://www.drroyspencer.com/wp-content/uploads/UAH_LT_1979_thru_February_2025_v6.1_20x9-scaled.jpg.

Like all the other establishment-controlled series, the Copernicus temperature record has been corrupted by retrospective adjustments to make global warming look worse than reality. The well-documented “pause” from 1999 to 2014 has been airbrushed away and their cumulative upwards adjustments make their Hunga Tonga warming spike look far less dramatic than shown in the UAH series. Of course it is verboten to even mention Hunga Tonga in establishment circles, clear proof that they are lying.

If you disregard transient natural events (El Ninos and the rapidly-waning Hunga Tonga), the UAH series shows that global temperatures have done little more than flatline since 1998.

The fun will come soon when they have to explain why, while global CO2 levels continue to rise, all their alleged man-made global warming has mysteriously transformed itself into a double dose of global cooling via the impending concurrence of the cold phase of ca. 60-year cycle Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (as in the 1960-70s, which provoked a new ice age scare) and the cold phase of the ca. 400-year cycle Grand Solar Minimum (as in the 1645-1715 Maunder Minimum, when ice fairs were held on the frozen River Thames). According to Professor Valentina Zharkova the GSM is already underway and will kick off in earnest in 2030: https://iainhunter.substack.com/p/the-grand-solar-minimum-is-here.

Numerous other Russian climate scientists have been predicting a few cool decades for some years. And have been completely ignored, of course

Here’s an American I only came across recently, David Dilley, on the Tom Nelson podcast. His GSM analysis seems to be similar to but independent of that of Zharkova: https://rumble.com/v6q76bo-david-dilley-imminent-global-cooling-tom-nelson-pod-284.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Climate%20realism

I'm not convinced about the GSM. It was supposed to start with the current cycle (25) but it's turned out that this cycle is actually more active than the previous SC24. So unless something extraordinary happens with SC26, the much anticipated Grand Solar Minimum is off.

Jaime,

Your conclusions about the BBC shouldn't be "either...or". I think and/or is definitely an option!

Yes, obstinate obfuscation is probably the "primary driver", which manifests in this case as a particularly dim-witted response, as irritating in its stupidity as it is in its attempt at avoiding an admission of guilt.
