She’s still with us, still happy, not in a lot of pain, and getting out and about, walking up to a mile and a half some days. In August, the vet suggested she may have only weeks left and that we should make her comfortable for those final weeks by numbing the pain as much as possible. Well, she’s been away in the motorhome on three occasions since then, enjoying every minute and still just as mad as ever!
I started her on the high dose Fenbendazole (Panacur) regimen, 3 days on 4 days off. The lump on her hip hasn’t disappeared but it doesn’t appear to have grown much, if at all. There is no sign of the cancer metastasizing to her lungs or anything. Can’t say for sure if this is as a result of the Fenben, but I’m now putting her on a maintenance dose of 222mg twice daily.
I got the 250g of 99% pure Fenbendazole (Fenben Labs) from Amazon this morning. It came earlier than expected and was not delivered from the US, but was posted in the UK. The distributor is a company in Lithuania. Anyway, fingers crossed, Alfa might be with us for a while longer yet.
Pleased to hear it, Jaime...
Excellent news.
It seems as though vets are just as compromised as doctors, so we all need to learn to treat our selves and not rely on "experts".
