UK Weather: Pattern Change in September?

The UK is not a free country - meteorologically or politically it would seem. We have been stuck in the prison Jet Stream more or less continuously since last winter; hence the unseasonable cool, wet spring and summer. August has been no exception. This is now:

No change basically, right up to the end of the month:

But in early September, this happens:

The jet stream heads far north and a high pressure cell begins to develop over the British Isles, and in fact much of continental western Europe, meaning lighter winds, meaning all those renewables fanatics currently crowing about how much super fantastic planet saving clean wind energy is contributing to the national grid will suddenly fall silent, as will the Octopus Energy clowns plugging ‘free’ Green energy fundays.

Will Octopus Energy customer pensioners in Stalinist UK, deprived of their winter fuel payments by the Labour government, be facing a Dunkelflaute-afflicted long Winter of Discontent with consequent periodic huge increases in their variable rate ‘eco-smart’ tariff? Watch this space.
