Oh, the sniffy protestations that ‘Elon does not understand the British, or British politics and he should keep his nose out of our business.’ What they mean is, Elon does not appreciate the finer subtleties of the British class system which has always thrived under the Tories and which, under Labour and the Left, has morphed into a racist, misogynist, classist disdain for the white British working class. Musk, a white South African naturalised US citizen and the richest man in the world, may indeed not appreciate the finer subtleties of the British Caste system, but he sure as hell does know a fucked up ‘justice’ and political system when he sees it.
We now know that under Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown - who took over from democratically elected Tony Blair in a bloodless coup - a memo was circulated in 2008 advising senior officers in British police forces to treat the mass rape of underage mainly white British working class girls by mainly Muslim Pakistani men as “a lifestyle choice.” Yes, that’s right, you read it correctly. To the British ruling elite, this definition might seem perfectly sane, sensible and appropriate; to foreigners like Musk, perhaps not so much. Let’s just expand upon that definition:
Labour's "lifestyle choice" = white, British, 11,12 and 13 year old working class sluts, mainly from former industrial towns in the north, deciding they would get drugged, drunk, raped and tortured, mentally and physically, day after day, month after month, year after year, by brown-skinned men of mainly Muslim Pakistani heritage.
That’s been Labour’s left wing inspired, classist, racist, misogynist, paedophilic interpretation of the term “lifestyle choice” since at least 2008, probably long before that, and which was apparently signed off on by Keir Starmer, who was Director of Public Prosecutions at the time. No matter that, in law, penetrating an underage girl is deemed a criminal offence, per se, because that child is below the legal age of responsibility and therefore cannot by definition be deemed to give consent to sex. No matter. White working class slutty kids had it coming and even their parents, who objected to their kids being raped by Pakistani Muslims and in some cases, tried to intervene, they too made a lifestyle choice and therefore were arrested by the police for interfering with the lawful activities of nice, brown-skinned men who were merely availing themselves of what their kids decided to offer them.
Of course, any white working class people (or their middle class, white, brown or black apologists) who have dared object to this interpretation, and have done, very vocally, over the years, have also been on the receiving end of Labour’s classist and racist ire, most recently exemplified in Starmer’s outrage at the mainly northern white working classes daring to voice their discontent during the Southport riots. The entire judicial system was brought to bear heavily on those who participated in the riots, who merely attended, or just sat at home posting offensive memes and hurty words on Facebook. They ended up receiving ‘justice’ faster than a speeding bullet and serving sentences harsher than many violent or sexual offenders. In fact, Two Tier Keir busted such people out of prison in many cases in order to make space for the shouty, hurty words crowd.
But many Brits are still angry at Musk for poking his nose in where it’s not wanted, even though they supposedly are indignant, nay, disgusted (the Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells presumably) by the Left turning a blind eye, even being actively complicit in the mass rape of mainly British white girls. Here’s Brendan O’Neill at Spiked, getting ever so angry:
Now, this outrage is making waves again. It follows Home Office minister Jess Phillips’s rejection of Oldham Council’s request for a government-led inquiry into the ‘grooming gangs’ scourge. The fearless reportage of Charlie Peters at GB News has also helped to drag these sick crimes back into the spotlight. Elon Musk is stirring it up too, cack-handedly, using X to slam Keir Starmer’s government and Britain more broadly for our failures over what he calls this ‘rape genocide’. That our media ‘hid’ these atrocities for so long is awful, he says.
There’s historical erasure at play here. Mr Musk, and others, might have first heard about the ‘grooming gangs’ scandal in 2025, but Brits have been aware of it for years. It was the mainstream media that uncovered it. For years The Times was all over this story. Julie Bindel wrote about it as far back as 2007. spiked has covered it in depth for more than a decade. The idea that we need a rich rabble-rouser in America to pry open our eyes to our nation’s legion crimes and failures is ridiculous. Here’s my question for those feverishly tweeting about these ‘grooming gangs’ they’ve just discovered – where have you been?
This horror hasn’t been ‘hidden’. It’s been the subject of much media scrutiny and righteous public fury. But here’s the curious thing, the worrying thing: while there’s been a great deal of reportage on ‘grooming gangs’, there hasn’t been the reckoning we really need. While there have been numerous local inquiries – all cataloguing the gross failures of officials who showed more concern for communal peace than female safety – still the scandal rarely troubles the broader political conscience. Everyone knows about it, but few dwell on it. In polite society it is the great unmentionable, the atrocity that dare not speak its name. You wring your hands over it, and nothing more. You agree it was bad, and you move on.
So, yeah, actually, I can’t quite work out whether Brendan’s more angry about ‘the horror’ or Musk’s naive, poorly informed and ‘cack-handed’ horror at ‘the horror.’
“The idea that we need a rich rabble-rouser in America to pry open our eyes to our nation’s legion crimes and failures is ridiculous.”
Brendan, love, you probably wouldn’t be writing about ‘the horror’ with such verve and aplomb and ‘the horror’ wouldn’t be splashed all over the main stream media - who, despite your assertions to the contrary, have studiously avoided talking about ‘the horror’ for decades now - and politicians from all sides probably wouldn’t be ceaselessly chattering about ‘the horror’ were it not for Musk’s cack-handed intervention. Musk appears to have precipitated the ‘reckoning we need’ - in the words of O’Neill. Yes, he’s very rich, very privileged, very imperfect, and rather unfairly commands an outsized audience, but at least he doesn’t ‘understand’ British class snobbery, yet understands the depths of depravity to which British class snobbery has sunk under Labour (evidence his support for a certain ‘racist Nazi’ languishing in solitary right now) and that’s his one great asset, as far as I can see.
Update 07/01
I think this puts into perspective Musk’s stance on the UK and IMO it makes him probably more qualified to comment on British politics and social issues than many of our so called ‘media representatives’ and out of touch, arrogant ruling classes who actually despise British culture and history and look down their noses at the white British working classes:
Spiked showed its true colours during the fake pandemic. Establishment all the way. The fact is that Musk is forcing this onto all the headlines. His motives are irrelevant as far as I am concerned.
I gave up on Spiked when during Covid, an academic from Uni of Kent, with no medical qualifications, came up with this in 2022

Worse, it' still up.
Hope they haven't got blood on their hands.
