Scotch Mist Causes More Mountain Rescue Callouts in 2021/22

Naturally, conspiracy theorists are blaming the sudden 40% jump in callouts on the you know what, basically because fit, energetic people are suddenly experiencing spike protein induced cardiac emergencies.

There’s a much simpler explanation however: Scotch mist, caused by climate change. It’s become a lot more frequent because of your gas boiler and petrol or diesel car, thus, mountain walkers are becoming hopelessly disoriented on the tops of mountains, whenever it descends, necessitating the need for many more callouts of mountain rescue services. The sudden rise in the frequency of Scotch mist in 2021 means that the climate must have reached a scary tipping point, so this is probably going to be the new normal from now on, until we reach Net Zero, or until the Scottish government bans hill walking.
