That is rather bizarre indeed. But not too surprising. Green everything turned communist a long time ago, starting with Greenpeace.

Once a group becomes sufficiently powerful or influential, the left often swoops in, and takes control of that "movement."

I remember in the 80s when Greenpeace was all about ramming Japanese whaling vessels. They were more widely known as an animal rights group.

Anything "environmental" tends to be inherently anti-capitalist and by extension anti-freedom as well.

The way to make things "green" again is to roll back technical progress, and remove people's access to energy. Well, at least for the pleebs, those regular people like you and me.

Those who have gained sufficient wealth will be excluded from limitations. That's why when "climate activists" fly private jets to "CO2 is going to kill us all" conferences, they are given a pass.

All of these "green movements" are well funded, top down controlled, and are never concerned with what they claim to be concerned about.

That's why so many seemingly disparate "movements" recommend the same solutions.

Q: We have a crisis, Climate Change, how do we stop it?

A: Weaken the economy by increasing the prices on energy to the point where people are required to ration it. Limit people's freedom of movement by increasing transportation costs. Electric cars with insufficient range. Force job losses through increased energy costs. CENTRALIZE CONTROL.

Q: We have a crisis, COVID-19, how do we stop it.

A: Weaken the economy though lockdowns and other illegal mandates. Limit people’s freedom of movement with vaccine passports. Force job loss through vaccine mandates. CENTRALIZE CONTROL.

Leeds? Really? I'm a Yank but have ancestors from all over Great Britain, and Leeds on my Dad's side. I'm glad my father isn't alive to see this.
