Lawyer Who Beat Fox To Death With Baseball Bat Whilst Wearing Wife's Kimono Refuses To Prosecute Climate Activists

Infamous fox killer Jolyon Maugham is one of a number of barristers who has signed a declaration pledging not to act as prosecution in cases against law-breaking Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil activists, who vandalise buildings, petrol pumps, oil paintings, etc. and glue themselves to superstructures, put lives at risk by obstructing highways and generally make a bloody nuisance of themselves, either because they’re brainwashed into believing in an imminent ‘climate catastrophe’ and/or they’re paid to do so by wealthy Green interest groups.

These 120 lawyers have also pledged not to represent clients involved in oil or gas production. It’s quite pathetic really but it also sets a dangerous precedent. Says the Mail:

The move triggered fierce condemnation last night from senior members of the legal profession, who accused the group of undermining the convention that everyone is entitled to fair legal representation.

Tory MP Robert Buckland, a King's Counsel and former justice secretary, called the declaration 'very odd', saying: 'There are plenty of people lawyers represent who are deeply unpleasant and deeply unpopular, such as rapists and paedophiles. 

'But they are entitled to a fair trial. When lawyers start picking and choosing, in a way it undermines the independence of the legal profession. 

The importance of that independence is not about one's individual views but the interests of justice, and I do think that's a very odd approach to take, frankly, and not really consistent with the role of a lawyer.

'When you are a lawyer, you put your personal views aside... and you represent clients without fear or favour.

'This declaration doesn't sit very well with that principle.'

Quite. But woke climate virtue signallers don’t have time for silly professional principles when it comes to ‘saving the planet’. If you’re literally helping to prevent the earth from becoming an uninhabitable sun-baked, rain-drenched, storm-beaten, sea-deluged wasteland where not even cockroaches will survive, then obviously all morals and scruples can be dispensed with in service of the greater good. You can make money by defending rapists, paedophiles and murderers; just don’t represent the Big Oil planet-killing scum who are the lowest of the low. Oh, and obviously, beating a defenceless trapped fox to death with a baseball bat is also OK, as long as you’re in the business of helping to prevent the Sixth Mass Extinction.
