How Long Before Octopus Energy Introduce The Slavery Reparations Variable Smart Tariff - For Black Customers Only?

And this (some of those 26 interns):
Count the number of white faces. Not content with virtue signalling on ‘climate justice’, the execrable Octopus Energy are now not just signalling their woke ‘racial justice’ credentials, they are actively discriminating against white candidates for paid placements across their company - and YOU are paying for that if you’re a ‘white privilege’ customer.
It surely can’t be long before they go full woke and introduce the Slavery Reparations Smart Variable Tariff, offering preferential off peak rates for black customers only.
No, it’s not OK. It’s racism and it’s an effing disgrace. I’m not the only one who thinks so. This is Red Lip Riots on X:
Hey, Octopus Energy,
I’ve just seen your statement “standing in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and the entire Black community.”
Quick question. When exactly did you stand in solidarity with the British working class? When did you speak up for the white pensioner choosing between heating and eating while you hiked bills and virtue signalled with corporate slogans?
You’re not a civil rights group. You’re an energy supplier. Your job is to keep the lights on not pick sides in a racialised political movement that burned cities, tore down statues and labelled this country “systemically racist.”
Where’s your statement for the rape victims of Rotherham? Where’s your solidarity for British veterans sleeping rough? Where’s your message to the millions of loyal customers who happen to be white and just want to pay their bill without being preached at?
You don’t speak for Britain. You speak for the boardroom. BLM isn’t compassion. It’s a Marxist grift wrapped in racial guilt. And you backed it with your brand.
We don’t need politics with our power. We don’t need lectures with our leccy. We need companies to do their job and shut up. Comments?
It’s way past time that Octopus went the way of the BBC’s Dr Who and Bud Light.
They sign their e-mails (I am a customer not by my choice, OFGEM did, when the gas price soared and loads of the suppliers went bust.)
Love and Power
The Octopus Energy Team
Thanks for the introduction to Red Lip Riots. Octopus is clearly very DEI/woke-inclined but as an accidental customer I have to say they are efficient and they don’t pester me to get a smart meter.
