AI is simply the next bogus golden calf that's propping up tech financials in the USA... No different then blockchain really.

There are some interesting edge cases where it's useful to me. Coding/data access (i.e. sql) is already pretty good and getting better.

But for general LLM's it's still and will always be GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out. A fancy search engine curated to spew whatever slant the developers want. That's it.

I’m out on AI as well. For all the good it can do there’s an immeasurable chasm of bad it will do. Monitoring us useless eaters for one…just like our cell phones who know way too much about us, AI is not constrained to the protocols of phones. As the lawsuits have revealed, AI doesn’t always (it might not ever) obey the boundaries of not hacking into places it has not been given permission to be in.

"most or all global warming since 2000 - including the spike which started in June 2023 - was caused by a reduction in low level cloud cover, particularly over the tropics."

Maybe if they get everyone to believe this, then they can produce clouds by seeding them?

Almost every sunny day the planes show up and turn it into a cloudy day.

Wasn't this the plan anyway?

I asked Chat GPT a question on climate change and it only regurgitated the dopey talking points of the establishment climate change narrative. Its only minor usefulness is that it will give a plausible answer to questions which “google” will suppress, such as the number of coal-fired power stations in China.
