A week ago, social media was alight with news that the British government was officially planning to dim the sun, with many saying that, of course, they’ve been doing it ‘for years’ anyway and this was just official confirmation that the ‘chemtrail conspiracy theory’ was no longer theory, but fact.
But it seems that in March and now April, the evil Sun-dimmers forgot to ply their trade. April 2025 was the sunniest on record in the UK.
March was the third sunniest on record for the UK since 1910.
Of course, these are just sunshine hours. That doesn’t rule out the possibility that they might be dimmed sunshine hours. If that were the case though, you would expect temperature throughout the month to be nothing special, because of the weaker sunshine. You would also expect not to see shattering indigo blue skies, devoid of ‘chemtrails’, but instead nasty milky white/pale blue skies criss-crossed by nasty spreading chemtrails. Well I can tell you from personal experience here in Cumbria at least that indigo blue skies throughout the month were common and the sunshine was strong and unimpeded by any dimming ‘chemicals’. With regard to the former, April 2025 was the third warmest on record:
‘Yebbut, why wasn’t it the warmest if strong sunshine hours were a record?’
Reasonable question. The answer is that for quite a lot of the month, winds were from a northerly direction, meaning a cooler air mass was over the UK, so this probably pegged daytime temperatures slightly in the strong April sunshine.
The Met Office has this to say:
The high mean temperatures were chiefly influenced by higher-than-average daytime temperatures, though it was also warmer than average overnight.
“The reason for the high temperatures over the last week has not been because we’ve been importing warm air from the south, but because cloud-free skies have brought strong solar insolation, warming the air up day-by-day. The sun is as strong at this time of year as it is in August. Under high pressure, the air tends to sink, get compressed, and warm up. So, it’s fair to say that this latest period of very warm weather has been ‘home-grown’ and not brought in from anywhere else.”
So that confirms it. Old Chinese proverb say:
‘Long hours of no Dim Sun make UK very warm in April.’
Bloody chemtrailers. Just when you need them to put the brakes on global warming in Blighty, they up sticks and take their operations elsewhere (though not Spain and Portugal obviously, where the national grid blew a main fuse because of too much sun). I say that because the morons at the Met Office just can’t resist getting the man-made climate change plug in:
“Met Office UK Climate Projections indicate that hot spells will become more frequent in our future climate, particularly over the southeast of the UK, with temperatures projected to rise in all seasons.”
The graph below shows the UK’s April mean temperature from 1884 to 2025. This shows the year-to-year variability of April temperatures, but a warming trend in alignment with human induced climate change.
Here we go: another update. The BBC reports that a Welsh lake is experiencing a bloom of toxic blue-green algae:
"Visitors are being warned to take extra care when visiting a popular north Wales lake after harmful algae was found in the water.
Eryri National Park said the blue-green algae was present in parts of Llyn Tegid in Bala, Gwynedd.
The authority has urged people to be careful around the lake and avoid direct contact with the algae."
The cause? Too much sun!
"Blue-green algae - cyanobacteria - can become abundant in warm, shallow, undisturbed, nutrient-rich surface waters that receive a lot of sunlight, leading to floating mats or scums on the water's surface."

What I can absolutely confirm is that the UK has had the world's *dimmest* politicians over the last 15–20 years! Talk about ignoramuses, our governments have no scientific nor business nor even rudimentary human intelligence. We desperately need to REFORM UK politics 🇬🇧
