The Met Office issued a scary Yellow Wind Warning for most of Scotland on December 30th and New Year’s Eve, so Edinburgh Labour council leader Jane Meagher decided she would cancel Hogmanay celebrations because of ‘severe weather’ and the threat to public safety. Huge numbers of people from all over the country and indeed from across the world were left bitterly disappointed and quite frankly, bewildered because, on New Years Eve, it was a bit damp and windy - which is not that unusual in Scotland in the middle of winter!
But fascist killjoys have got to do their thing and what better opportunity to continue the ‘extreme weather’ climate crisis psyop than cancel a very high profile event like Hogmanay in Edinburgh. Make no mistake, this was a fake climate crisis lockdown, just like the Covid lockdown of three years ago which also saw Hogmanay celebrations cancelled. And the way she did it was just so patronising: ‘Sorry children, it’s not safe to go outside today, but we have lots of safe things for you to do indoors, which I’m sure you’ll love. Now, be good, be careful and have a great time.’ Here’s Nanny Meagher. She looks just like I imagine a power mad patronising nanny should look like.
And where you have the patronising, tyrannical, power mad Nanny, you also have the beta male ready and willing to enforce Nanny’s commands.
It was just as windy and wet in London, but the New Years Eve fireworks went ahead as planned because ‘Sir’ Khan’s ego took precedence over the opportunistic promotion of the climate crisis narrative - that and the fact that the Met Office did not issue a scary Yellow Wind warning for London.
It’s all so pathetic, but this is what life is going to be like if we let these petty tyrants and lockdown fascists continue to rule the roost within local and national government. They will continue to suck the joy out of our lives at every opportunity whilst reminding us to ‘stay safe’ in the face of fabricated ‘life threatening’ events - even as they enact policies which actually threaten our lives and livelihoods. They must be gone and we must ignore them as best we can and not comply with their petty, tyrannical killjoy diktats.
Sadly, the Met Office is now heavily influenced by politics too. They are no longer science based, as with so many other leftist institutions. This cancellation wheeze may have been a set-up between the MO and government, because large crowds = disorder and trouble and police overtime .... although it was an excellent opportunity missed to knock some undeserving heads together.
By the way, somebody should tell Nanny to get an image consultant because she looks pretty sh** in that photograph. Not 'relatable', just sh**.
I'm sick of all these yellow, amber and red warnings. It seems that any change in the weather now warrents a warning. It was a bit blustery over the New Year, but nothing to get excited about.
London went ahad with their festivities, and I don't think the weather was much different there from Edinburgh's.
