Ardern Is Gone - A Victim Of Sudden Resignation Syndrome
The woman who smilingly gave you vaccine apartheid in New Zealand, splendid Covid isolation in the Southern Hemisphere and state kidnapping of babies, has now abruptly resigned. Her ivory tower hasn’t so much as collapsed; it seems she has opted to jump out of the top floor window instead.
Oh no! Our “single source of truth” has gone. What are we going to do now?
It seems we have a case of a new, emerging phenomenon: Sudden Resignation Syndrome. Or maybe it’s one of Johann Rockstrom’s abrupt tipping elements being activated, which he so eloquently expounded upon at Davos:
Second thoughts, probably not. NZ doesn’t appear to be one of the locations which climate change mastermind Rockstrom has identified as being ‘at risk’.
