Thanks for this objective report. The key issue, of course, is ignition cause. As a former resident of both Quebec and Alberta, those fires were clearly, in large part, of human origin. I mapped logging roads to fires in Quebec. Not good. Plus, a College of DuPage report showed the Quebec fires all ignited at the same time. Then we have the underbrush mgmt. Since natural underbrush/old growth fires have been suppressed, we have a surfeit of kindling now... which of course, cannot be removed thanks the the fasco-Marxist greenies

There is some specific malice lately, which I was underestimating. Here in Spokane, several major brushfires started on one day, with nothing special in the weather. No wind, no lightning. The fires were started by one woman who had announced her intention in graffiti. She was caught and released as usual in Soros land.
